Method
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Bake in two 8-inch round cake pans.
- Let cakes cool completely.
- Tint vanilla frosting blue with food coloring.
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate and frost with blue frosting.
- Top with the second cake layer and frost the entire cake with blue frosting.
- Sprinkle gold edible glitter and gold star sprinkles on top of the cake.
- Add graduation cap decorations, if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a cream cheese frosting instead of vanilla.
