Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Combine cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Pour batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Divide the frosting into several bowls and add gel food coloring to each bowl.
- Fill piping bags with the colored frosting and attach desired piping tips.
- Frost the cake with a base layer of white frosting and create flower designs on top.
- Add sprinkles, if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the frosting to set before serving.
