Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon green food coloring or more, to desired shade
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time.
  4. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
  5. Stir in green food coloring until dough is evenly colored.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a richer flavor, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
