Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time.
- Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Stir in green food coloring until dough is evenly colored.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
- Let cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a richer flavor, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
