Marshmallow Flower Cupcakes

Delightful Funfetti cupcakes decorated with marshmallow flowers, perfect for a festive treat. Easy to make and fun to decorate!

Ingredients
  

Cupcake Ingredients
  • 1 box Funfetti cake mix
  • Eggs needed to prepare cake mix
  • vegetable oil needed to prepare cake mix
  • water needed to prepare cake mix
Frosting & Decoration
  • Vanilla frosting store bought or your favorite recipe
  • 25 - 30 large marshmallows
  • Nonpareils sprinkles or colored sugar
  • M&Ms; I used the Easter M&Ms;

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place a paper baking cup into each of the cups of the muffin pan.
  3. Prepare cake mix as directed on box using the ingredients needed.
  4. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full.
  5. Bake as directed on cake mix box. Cool completely.
  6. Frost cupcakes with frosting.
  7. Dampen a kitchen shears with some water and cut the marshmallows into slices (figure 5 slices for each cupcake).
  8. Sprinkle each slice with nonpareils, sprinkles or colored sugar.
  9. Arrange the slices on the cupcakes in a flower shape (see notes below).

Notes

For a more vibrant flower, use colored sugar or sprinkles that complement the Funfetti cake. Get creative with your marshmallow flower arrangement!
