Method
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
- Let cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake them. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
