Method
- Bake cake according to box instructions and let cool completely.
- Frost the entire cake with blue frosting.
- Using yellow frosting, create Spongebob's face on the cake. Start with a large oval shape.
- Use white frosting for the eyes and teeth.
- Use black frosting to outline Spongebob's features (eyes, mouth, tie, etc.).
- Use red frosting for Spongebob's tie and cheeks.
- Use chocolate frosting for the freckles.
- Place the edible graduation cap decoration on top of Spongebob's head.
- Optional: Use yellow and blue fondant to create additional decorations like seaweed or bubbles.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
For best results, allow the cake to chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the frosting to set.
