Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and extracts.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry to wet ingredients; mix until combined.
- Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
- Cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
- Place cookies on baking sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- Cool on baking sheets, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Decorate as desired.
Notes
For softer cookies, don't overbake. Store in an airtight container.
